Harry Connick Jr That Would Be Me Album Review

( Disclosure: I participated in the That Would Be Me album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided an album to review but all opinions are my own.)

Harry Connick Jr has a new album being released on October 23, 2015. His new album That Would Be Me is Harry stepping out of his comfort zone and working with two 'external' producers Eg White and Butch Walker. They may have different working styles but the album came together nicely.

I enjoy listening to all types of music. Different moods call for different songs. I always thought Harry Connick Jr was a cool guy, on a movie star level. I've seen him in Copycat and Independence Day. Whether you discover him on film first or you saw him on American Idol, you will realize what a great voice he has. I'm really not into labeling and putting things into boxes. So I can't say what genre his music is. To me, his music is smooth, relaxing, fun, upbeat, and soulful. I think this album would be nice to listen to at the end of the day. Relax and unwind. Or even fun to put on at a dinner party.

My favorite song of the whole album is Where Prisoners Drown. I just like the feel of it. The chorus is catchy. It has a good beat. And it would definitely be the song I put on repeat.

I think I Love You A Little Bit is a nice, lighthearted song. It has a feel good vibe.

The overall album has a chill vibe. I like how there are some slow songs mixed with upbeat songs. And you can surely see that Harry is a multi talented musician.
